There aren’t many Fridays as big as this one. With games like Borussia Dortmund vs RB Leipzig and Napoli vs Lazio, this is not your average weekday. When it comes to football predictions, it doesn’t always mean that the hottest games are those that have the best value. Borussia Dortmund vs RB Leipzig
Dortmund went to the World Cup break on a low note. But since coming back, they are the hottest team in Europe, the only one in the Top-5 leagues not only to not have lost, but to collect every point available. Nine wins straight (including one in the German Cup and that one against Chelsea in the Champions League) means that the Borussia men are as hot as fire and stand top of the Bundesliga, alongside Bayern.
RB Leipzig are not that shabby either. In their last 22 official games, they only have one win (at home to Union Berlin), and are now fourth in the league. They won’t be an easy opponent and now they have their biggest weapon, Christopher Nkunku back.
The game screams of a 1-1 draw, but I am not brave enough to pull the trigger. Since I believe this will be a close game, with both teams having chances to score, I am going for my favourite 1-1 anytime score.
Napoli vs Lazio
Amazing Napoli have all but clinched the league title in Italy, the first for the Partenopei without a certain Diego Armando Maradona wearing their number 10 shirt. They are 18 points clear of their competition and they seem unstoppable. Especially Victor Osimhen, who has scored in 7 games straight and has 10 goals in 9 league games since coming back from suspension.
Lazio are one of the few sides in Italy that can make things hard for Napoli. But can you go against that team? Napoli are the best in Europe so far this season and there is no argument there. I will back both the team and Osimhen in a combo bet.
