It would be unfair not to analyse and draw some picks from midweek’s action, as there will be some huge battles. Champions League last 16-second leg fixtures are on, as we are ready to see how the teams will adapt to the outcome of their first game. Tonight, Chelsea will host Dortmund in a chance to overturn the negative result, while in Portugal, Benfica will seal its seat to the best eight teams of the competition.

Chelsea vs Borussia Dortmund Prediction
A couple of weeks ago, Karim Adeyemi was the lone scorer in Germany. Despite the loss, Chelsea should be proud of the performance, maybe the team’s best game under Graham Potter. Joao Felix missed many chances, but he cooperated greatly with Enzo Fernandez. For tonight, I believe that there will not be many changes than their last encounter in the Champions League.
Dortmund will not risk much and Chelsea will be unable to find the net easily, meaning that this encounter is a low-score candidate. I also believe in the host’s ability not to concede much, a factor worth mentioning. Borussia is on a fantastic run, winning every game since the return from the World Cup, also reaching the first spot in the Bundesliga standings, next to Bayern.
All these clues make me believe that under 2,5 is the best option, in a game with many mysteries.
Benfica vs Club Brugge Prediction
There is not much to say in this one. Benfica won 0-2 in Belgium, where it could score more, regarding all the chances created. Club Brugge seemed to be on a lower level than its rivals and this is the point to consider. In the second leg, Benfica has the chance to prove that it is the best team in this pair, arrivong in the best eight teams of the Champions League once more. I believe that Brugge will risk much, leaving much space for the hosts’ attackers.
Brugge can find the net, but I will keep my focus on the attacking options of Benfica. Keeping in mind that Joao Mario is the most valuable player of the Eagles, leading the goal-scoring list in Liga Portugal with Goncalo Ramos, I will pick the Portuguese attacking midfielder to score. He scored in the first game against Brugge and he will be the penalty taker if there is such occasion in Estadio da Luz.
