The world’s most stunning jockey gets ready for Cheltenham

Horse racing fans are excited about the 2023 Cheltenham Festival. But even if you are not interested in the event itself, there might be a reason to watch ITV’s broadcast. That reason has a name: Leonna Mayor, but she is widely known as the world’s sexiest jockey.

The ex-flat jockey stopped competing in 2013, as she got involved with Racing for Change, an organisation holding the responsibility to make the sport more fan-friendly. To promote that mission she did a photo shoot for Zoo magazine, which grew her to a national phenom and gave her the label of the sexiest jockey alive.

Mayor, 33, will be in Cheltenham for the second year in a row, commentating on the races for ITV Racing. The Stoke-on-Trent native has always been vocal about women in racing and she was pleased to see Rachael Blackmore winning Top Jockey in Cheltenham 2021. She was set for stardom herself, having 32 winners to her name, but she felt that life as a jockey was too demanding and she could help the sport more as a spokesperson.

As for her famous Zoo magazine photoshoot, she claims that most people were supportive and only a few were opposed to it.
