West Ham have only gained 3 points in their last five Premier League games. The season is disappointing when it comes to domestic competitions, but the Hammers are doing just fine in the Conference League. West Ham beat Alkmaar 2-1 in London and are the favourites to qualify for the Final and ultimately win it all in Prague.
AZ Alkmaar stunned West Ham in the first half of their first-leg tie in London. Tijjani Reijnders gave the Dutch side the lead but Said Benrahma and Michail Antonio turned things around for the Hammers. Now West Ham are going to North Holland with a lead, and a draw will be enough to see them through to the Conference League Final.
West Ham are slight favourites (7/5) to win the second leg. but are overwhelming favourites (2/9) to qualify for the Final.
In the other semi-final, Basel are 90 minutes away from what would be thought as a major upset. The Swiss side beat Fiorentina 2-1 in Italy and are hosting the second leg.
West Ham are 10/11 favourites to win the trophy, which would be the team’s first silverware since 1980.
