Who will be the Premier League top scorer this season?
Last season, Mohamed Salah shared the Premier League Golden Boot Award with Son Heung-min. The Egyptian became the third player to have topped the list of goalscorers in three occasions in the Premier League era and dreams of reaching Thierry Henry’s record four English Golden Boots. Of course, there is one new kid on the block. We’re (of course) talking about Erling Haaland, who is backed by bookies to win the top scorer award in his first season in the Premier League, especially after kicking off his Premier League career with a double against West Ham United.

Erling Haaland (Manchester City) – 9/5
The 22-year-old signed for Manchester City, after the club activated his £51.2 million release clause. He joined his father’s old club as one of the top strikers in Europe. During his two-and-a-half seasons at Borussia Dortmund, he scored 62 goals in 66 appearances. He was the top favourite even before starting the season with two goals.
Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) – 9/2
Since joining Liverpool in 2017, Salah has found the net 118 times in the league. Three times did he top the league in goals, once was he second with one goal less than Kane and one did he end the season with 19 goals, four less than the top scorer. Salah recently renewed his contract with the Reds, until 2025 and he already has one goal in the bag after the first gameweek.
Harry Kane (Tottenham) – 6/1
Harry Kane was the top scorer in the Premier League in 2015-16, 2016-17, and 2020-21. He will most likely stay at the Spurs, but Manchester United and Bayern haven’t given up on signing him. He is always among the favourites to score plenty in the Premier League. Hw is worth betting on, using a betting sign up bonus.
Darwin Nunez (Liverpool) – 9/1
Liverpool’s new star introduced himself with a goal in the Community Shield and another one in his Premier League debut. And he scored both of those coming off the bench. In his two seasons with Benfica, he netted 32 goals in 57 league matches.
Gabriel Jesus (Arsenal) – 14/1
Manchester City’s way of playing was pretty much suffocating Jesus. Arsenal are optimistic about the Brazilian becoming a goal-scoring machine for them.
Aleksandar Mitrovic (Fulham) – 20/1
Two years ago, Mitrovic had an abysmal Premier League season with 3 goals in 27 outings, but last year he dominated the Championship with 43 goals in 44 games. This time around he wants to prove he’s Premier League material. He started off the season with two goals against Liverpool.
Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United) – 20/1
It is still unsure whether Cristiano Ronaldo will remain a Red Devil this season. He has requested a transfer and there are already some suitors, such as Bayern and Chelsea. Ronaldo was the top scorer in the Premier League in 2007-08. He has since won numerous scoring awards with Real Madrid and Juventus.
Heung Min-son (Tottenham) – 20/1
The South Korean forward was always a quality player, but this past season was by far his best since he joined Spurs. He won the English Golden Boot and if Kane gets transferred, then he will get even more chances.
