This year, Real Madrid should regain their pace, as they haven’t played a truly competitive match since the second semi-final against Manchester City. Carlo Ancelotti would love to have some more tension in the LaLiga battle for the trophy, so that to retain the pace of his players. On the contrary, Liverpool had no problem eliminating Inter Milan, Benfica and Villareal. Against the Spanish side in the semifinals, they won the first match (2-0), but they saw their opponent come back in the first half of the second leg (2-0). Jurgen Klopp’s side, scored three times in 12 minutes (62’, 67’, 74’) to secure their return in the final, after three years.

Verdict: It’s going to be a close battle against two teams that have two stunning attacking lines. Liverpool have better pace, as they were battling for the championship, while Real Madrid are in idle mode, having won only once in their last four for the LaLiga.
