Bayern made a bid for Harry Kane – he favours the move
The Harry Kane saga is almost over. Yesterday it was widely reported that the Tottenham and England national team skipper prefers a move to Bavaria this summer in search of a new challenge, but most importantly, silverware. Kane held positive talks with Bayern Munich this week and is not favoured to be Thomas Tuchel’s new striker. He informed the Germans that they would be his no. 1 priority if he decides to leave England.

All this positive environment opened the appetite of the Bundesliga champions who have already made a bid to Daniel Levy. The offer is up to £60 million plus add ons and Levy might start to consider this as he is desperate not to sell his captain to any Premier League rival. He surely will ask for more money from Bayern (his initial demand was in the margin of £86 million) but the timing is more than ideal for Kane to leave England.
Man United is always fond of Kane’s talents but the negotiations with both player and the club have cooled down recently. Erik Ten Hag is a big fan of the 29-year-old attacker, but United seem unable to reach any sort of agreement.
This is what Tuchel tries to take advantage of, at a point in time when he desperately searches for a striker after a devastating previous season, where the team replaced Robert Lewandowski with the frequently injured and unsettled Sadio Mane. The club regretted this decision shortly and now is ready to spend big in the market.
Randal Kolo Muani and Victor Osimhen have been linked to a Bayern Munich transfer too, while Tuchel keeps searching for solutions in the English transfer market (Declan Rice is highly appreciated) as part of his presence in the Premier League (he was Chelsea manager).
The initial bid means that there is more to discuss between the two sides, but it is safe to add that a deal is possible to happen at this point. A transfer to Germany may be the best scenario for all parties included, so they will try to push for a preferable ending.
