Full Premier League action this weekend, only a few steps behind the end of the season. Many teams fight, not only for their survival but also for their chance to play two games per week next season. Let’s see City’s ability to score (yes, I know they can do that easily) and Newcastle’s change of philosophy.
Man City keeps rolling at this point, as the team scored three times against Bayern in the Champions League. The two major trophies are on for the club to win, especially now that Arsenal lose points in the Premier League battle. Pep Guardiola’s players won all the last nine games in all competitions.
Leicester was forced to sack Brendan Rodgers while the team is in the relegation zone. Dean Smith has to find solutions in the next eight games, but things look not so promising, in a relegation battle that is heating up. I expect the hosts to win easily for today’s fixture, but I keep my focus on Jack Grealish’s fantastic season. Guardiola can’t rest players so the Englishman will be there scoring for his team at 2/1.
Aston Villa and Newcastle are the hottest teams in the Premier League right now. Unai Emery transformed the Villagers from a mediocre squad which fights not to get relegated to a European ticket-contending one. Having four wins in a row, Villa reached the 6th position in the standings, hoping that there is more to come.
Newcastle has five wins in a row, a record being enough for the club to almost secure a top-four position. Howe’s players never fail to deliver at this point of the season, as we see many goals in the Magpies’ encounters. Both teams have scored in Newcastle’s four of the last five outings, while over 2,5 goals was the rule in the exact amount of games. So I will trust the combo of these two choices at 13/10.
Premier League is heating up in another season where we can not draw conclusion until the very end.
